PMC - Paper Machine Clothing

The PMC department of Nebb Engineering has supplied automation solutions and other equipment for Kværner finishing machines for over 25 years. Through these projects our engineers have acquired extensive knowledge of these machines and the process itself. Based on this experience we are now designing and delivering systems which have become a preferred standard within this industry. Not only on Kværner machines, but on any type of Finishing Machine our systems have become the obvious choice when improving the production capacity and quality.

Nebb has evolved into an important resource centre for Finishing Machines in general and has established a highly skilled department for rebuilds - covering all technical fields.

We have specialised in modernising older equipment as well as supplying new. In addition to project management during installation of complete new machines, we can handle all operations necessary in regarding moving machinery from one location to another.

By performing mechanical design in close co-operation with our customers we have become a partner for customers that have special requests or want something "tailor made."

We conduct overall analysis of the processes to identify bottlenecks and suggest and implement solutions to increase the productivity. We focus on energy savings and reduceing environmental impact.

World-wide service is possible over modem and Internet. Our service engineers can, via modem, connect to the client machines for examination, testing and perform any program modifications if necessary. The client can, based on our diagnosis, make necessary repairs or exchange spare parts. Nevertheless, if a service visit should be required, the despatching of our engineers normally takes place within 24 hours. Upon agreement we can make maintenance visits at fixed intervals.

Necessary equipment to allow remote access is always included in our deliveries. A single telephone line is all that must be provided by the customer.

During a maintenance visit we try visiting several clients within a geographical area to reduce the travel expenses for each client. During these visits we examine the system, eliminate problems and carry out requested program modifications.

Education and training of staff normally takes place at the end of the commissioning. Our engineers will guide and supervise the production of the first fabrics to familiarise the operating personnel with the control system and the advanced functionality that lies within.
